“MY LIFE WITH JESUS”
My dear Mother prayed 37 years for me to know the Lord. When it happened, my conversion was radical; I was so thrilled that Jesus forgave me of my sins. After my conversion my fervent prayer was that the Lord would restore what the canker worm had eaten and the locus had destroyed in my life. I was a single Dad raising three children. My Mom took my children to church from the time they were very young.
After my conversion, my greatest desire was to sing in church, but quite frankly I couldn’t “carry a tune in a bucket!!” Most of my prayers included that the Lord would give my voice back so I could sing for Him. Then one Sunday morning after “5 years,” my daughter sang a special in service, the pastor said, “I know that Victor’s 3 children can sing. But can Dad sing? “That was it!” By the next Sunday I was singing in church!
The Lord has been so good to me. He has graciously given me the opportunity to sing in Mexico, Japan, Singapore, the Philippine Islands, Hong Kong, Mainland and Shanghai, China. Also, many funeral services and adult care facilities. Should the Lord lead, I would love to go back on the mission field again. But until such time I’m sure I’ll stay busy with my 6 Grand Children and 4 Great Grand Children and as any grandparent, I love to spoil them.
I went to The University of the Nations in Kailua Kona, Hi in 1988-89 and Eugene Bible College in 1998-99.
I am so honored to have known Ron and Kathy Green for well over 30 years, and I am thrilled to be a part of this group.
